How to troubleshoot and resolve the headset issue on SOMIC G710?

If you are experiencing issues with your G710 gaming headset, try doing the following to see if it will help with the issue. You can view the video below for instructions.

 

1. How to turn on/off G710?

Power on

Hold on the “MFB(multi-function)”button for 2 seconds. The RGB lights will turn on and you will hear a tone “power on”.

    Power off

    Hold on the “MFB(multi-function)”button for 3 seconds.The RGB lights will turn off and you will hear a tone “power off”.

    2. How to use the microphone?

    This headset comes with a detachable mic which can be plugged/unplugged via the first port on the bottom of the left earcup. (please make sure that the mic is properly attached.)

    Note: the second port next to the mic button is designed to insert the 3.5mm aux cable when you want to use the headset wired.

    3. How to connect the headset to your phone?

    Hold on the “MFB” button for 7 seconds to turn on the headset. Open the Bluetooth setting on your phone and search the name of the headphone “G710” to connect. You will hear a tone “connected” when the pairing is completed.

    Note: When you are trying to connect the headset to your device via Bluetooth, please make sure the USB transmitter of the headset is unplugged from your other devices.

    4. How to connect the headset to your PC?

    With the headset on, insert the USB transmitter into the USB port of your PC. On the screen of your PC, right-click the speaker icon to select the headset “G710 Dongle”.

    5. About the RGB Lighting.

    The RGB Lighting will turn off within 7-8 seconds when the headset was powered off.
